A single mom from a small town in Texas speaks for many millions in America.

My Sister-in-Law (Nardo) shared this on Facebook today.  She shared it from Ann Romney's Facebook page.  I shared it on my Facebook page too.  I hope you do the same.

This is going viral, and if enough of you share it?  It might just come to the President's attention.

I would love to see his face if he actually read it.
A single mother in Texas by the name of Yolanda Burroughs-Vestal has written a ‘thank you’ letter to President Obama that just demands to be read:
Dear President Obama,
I wanted to take a moment to say thank you for all you have done and are doing. You see I am a single Mom located in the very small town of Palmer, Texas. I live in a small rental house with my two children. I drive an older car that I pray daily runs just a little longer. I work at a mediocre job bringing home a much lower paycheck than you or your wife could even imagine living on. I have a lot of concerns about the new “Obamacare” along with the taxes being forced on us Americans and debts you are adding to our country. I have a few questions for you Mr. President.
Have you ever struggled to pay your bills? I have.
Have you ever sat and watched your children eat and you eat what was left on their plates when they were done, because there wasn’t enough for you to eat to? I have.
Have you ever had to rob Peter to pay Paul, and it still not be enough? I have.
Have you ever been so sick that you needed to see a doctor and get medicine, but had no health insurance because it was too expensive? I have.
Have you ever had to tell your children no, when they asked for something they needed? I have.
Have you ever patched holes in pants, glued shoes, replaced zippers, because it was cheaper than buying new? I have.
Have you ever had to put an item or two back at the grocery store, because you didn’t have enough money? I have.
Have you ever cried yourself to sleep, because you had no clue how you were going to make ends meet? I have.
My questions could go on and on. I don’t believe you have a clue what Americans are actually going through and honestly, I don’t believe you care. Not everyone lives extravagantly. While your family takes expensive trips that cost more than most of us make in two-four years, there are so many of us that suffer. Yet, you are doing all you can to add to the suffering. I think you are a very selfish and cold hearted man, who does not care what is best for the people he was elected by (not by me) to represent, but more so out for the glory of your name attached to history. So thank you Mr. President, thank you for pushing those of us that are barely staying afloat completely under water and driving America into the ground. You have made your mark in history, as the absolute worst and most hated president of the United States. God have mercy on your soul!
Sincerely,
Yolanda Vestal
Average American
As I take a break from packing up all of my belongings here in my little apartment (can't pay the rent and I'm out of work)...  I really want to thank Yolanda for writing such a wonderful and heartfelt letter to the President.  I know she has conveyed the feelings of so many millions of Americans.  She did it VERY well.

It brought me tears of sorrow and pride.

After reading her letter I thought to myself.

If our President read this?  Would he be concerned at all about what he and his administration have done under his leadership?

I think not!

He will sleep like a baby tonight!

And then he will play golf or give a speeeeeech.

FEDS TRY TO CLOSE THE OCEAN BECAUSE OF SHUTDOWN - Big Government

Just before the weekend, the National Park Service informed charter boat captains in Florida that the Florida Bay was "closed" due to the shutdown. Until government funding is restored, the fishing boats are prohibited from taking anglers into 1,100 square-miles of open ocean. Fishing is also prohibited at Biscayne National Park during the shutdown.
The Park Service will also have rangers on duty to police the ban. Of access to an ocean. The government will probably use more personnel and spend more resources to attempt to close the ocean, than it would in its normal course of business.  Continue reading...

Arizona Gov. Brewer, local businesses fight to reopen Grand Canyon - Fox News
With the partial suspension of U.S. government services showing no signs of ending, tourists will continue to be turned away from the Grand Canyon, despite a push by Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer and local businesses to reopen the state's signature national park.
Brewer wants the iconic park reopened and has offered to pay for it with state money, but her proposal was rejected Thursday by a park official who said that as long as the federal government remains shut down, such a plan isn't an option. Continue reading...

Mount Rushmore blockage stirs anger in South Dakota - Argus Leader SD

Blocking access to trails and programs at South Dakota’s most popular attraction was one thing, but state officials didn’t expect Congress’ budget stalemate to shut down a view of Mount Rushmore.
The National Park Service placed cones along highway viewing areas outside Mount Rushmore this week, barring visitors from pulling over and taking pictures of the famed monument. Continue reading....

Under 30 years old? Here are a few statistics that show you are BONED!

Via The Economic Collapse
By Michael Snyder, on October 3rd, 2013
Young adults as a group have been experiencing a tremendous amount of economic pain in recent years.  The following are 30 statistics about Americans under the age of 30 that will blow your mind...
#1 The labor force participation rate for men in the 18 to 24 year old age bracket is at an all-time low.
#2 The ratio of what men in the 18 to 29 year old age bracket are earning compared to the general population is at an all-time low.
#3 Only about a third of all adults in their early 20s are working a full-time job.
#4 For the entire 18 to 29 year old age bracket, the full-time employment rate continues to fall.  In June 2012, 47 percent of that entire age group had a full-time job.  One year later, in June 2013, only43.6 percent of that entire age group had a full-time job.
#5 Back in the year 2000, 80 percent of men in their late 20s had a full-time job.  Today, only 65 percent do.
#6 In 2007, the unemployment rate for the 20 to 29 year old age bracket was about 6.5 percent.  Today, the unemployment rate for that same age group is about 13 percent.
#7 American families that have a head of household that is under the age of 30 have a poverty rate of 37 percent.
#8 During 2012, young adults under the age of 30 accounted for 23 percent of the workforce, but they accounted for a whopping 36 percent of the unemployed.
#9 During 2011, 53 percent of all Americans with a bachelor’s degree under the age of 25 were either unemployed or underemployed.
#10 At this point about half of all recent college graduates are working jobs that do not even require a college degree.

The House of Representatives is doing it wrong.

Obamacare can be defunded without Senate approval

Via Examiner.com
October 2, 2013

When the House passed legislation to defund ObamaCare but would keep the government running through mid-December, the Senate, led by Senate Majority Leader, Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) stated that they would not budge on Obamacare and the legislation was defeated.
On Monday, Dr. Harold Pease, an expert on the United States Constitutionstated that the authority in dealing with Obamacare funding belongs to the U.S. House, not the U.S. Senate and that the House is doing this all wrong.
Pease said, “Everything hinged upon funding which was given exclusively to the House of Representatives, the only power that they alone had.”
Pease went on to say, “All bills for raising revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills. To fund anything, in this case Obamacare, first approval is required by the House of Representatives.”
If that does not happen taxpayer money cannot be spent. The people, through their representatives to Congress, have determined, after a three-year closer scrutiny of The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), that it does not protect the patient, is not affordable and is not even workable; hence in the interests of the vast majority of the people needs to be defunded.”

Nancy Pelosi Misquotes George Washington to Save Obamacare Face

Ditz defined

ditz (plural ditzes)
  1. (informal) A scatterbrained person, especially a woman.

Filched from Conservative Report Online
by MIKE MADDEN on SEPTEMBER 30, 2013

How do you begin to detail the amazing ignorance and blatant misinformation from Nancy Pelosi, who swore to “uphold and defend the constitution,” before ramming Obamacare down the people’s throat despite Congress not reading it, and overwhelming opposition to it?  First, we can look Nancy Pelosi’s statements at a press conference about Obamacare on September 27, 2013.
So, this is about, this is silly.  This is maybe – they didn’t get some orientation on how serious the work is that we do here, and clearly, they are a manifestation of what President Washington cautioned against when he left office, which were “political parties at war with their own government.” And that is what we have wagging the dog; the tail wagging the dog of the Republican party now.
An amazing statement from a member of a party that has allowed the constitution to be usurped numerous times.  The best example being the Affordable Care Act in which the Senate gutted a spending bill and turned it into the biggest government control program in American history.
Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid conspired to wrest our health care in what can only be considered a most insidious way,  which is what President George Washington actually warned the people about in his farewell speech,

The government shutdown. Everything you need to know thanks to Major Pain

This post is savagely filched from Major Pain at One Marine's View.

A government shutdown starting Tuesday, Oct. 1, is now upon us. The House and Senate couldn't agree on a bill to fund the government, and time has run out.
The photograph is cleverly shot to make it look like the gates of the federal government are literally closing. Neat, eh? (The Washington Post)

So... it's shutdown time. Let's take a look at how this will work.

Not all government functions will simply evaporate come Oct. 1 — Social Security checks will still get mailed, and veterans' hospitals will stay open. But many federal agencies will shut their doors and send their employees home, from the Environmental Protection Agency to hundreds of national parks.
Here's a look at how a shutdown will work, which parts of the government will close, and which parts of the economy might be affected.
Wait, what? Why is the federal government on the verge of shutting down?

Obama issues "Red Line" on continuing resolution... Laughter ensues!

House Hearing Room Bursts Out Laughing at Obama's ‘Red Line’ on CR

(CNSNews.com) - People attending a House Rules Committee hearing on Saturday evening burst into laughter when Rep. Jim McGovern (D.-Mass.) affirmed to House Appropriations Chairman Hal Rogers (R.-Ky.) that President Barack Obama, by threatening to veto a continuing resolution to fund the government past Monday if it includes a House amendment to delay Obamacare, has thus “drawn a red line” on the  CR.
The committee was meeting to approve the rule by which the House would consider the Senate-passed CR and amendments to it that would repeal a tax on medical devices and delay Obamacare for one year.
Rep. Louise Slaughter (D.-N.Y.), the ranking member of the committee, read a position statement she said was from the administration that threatened the veto.
“If the president was presented with H.J.Res. 59 as amended by the amendments, he would veto the bill,” said Slaughter, reading from the administration's statement.
A few minutes later, after Rep. McGovern had expressed his opposition to what the Republican majority was planning to do, House Appropriations Chairman Rodgers, who had briefly testified to the committee about the amendments, asked McGovern if he would yield.
